Browser multiplayer survival building game: authoritative dedicated server, client-side prediction, Havok physics, GMod-style physgun building and an in-browser collaborative editor.
A persistent multiplayer world that starts in a tab. The current engine is a seven-package TypeScript monorepo: Babylon.js rendering with WebGPU and a WebGL fallback, Havok physics on both client and a headless NullEngine server, and a zod-validated WebSocket protocol.
Netcode. The server is authoritative; clients predict movement (Source-style, bunnyhop included) and reconcile. Props carry trust-based protection so a griefer cannot freeze your base.
Building. A physgun lets players grab, freeze, rotate and grid-lock props, backed by gathering, crafting, skills, zones and extraction risk. An in-browser editor supports collaboration.
Durability. The world survives SIGTERM with a 20-second flush. The 2026 migration carried 22 live players across from the previous engine, which I had written from scratch with a custom isomorphic compiler emitting both client and server builds.
